In Ovid's collection of mythological tales, Metamorphosis, he tells the story of a couple named Baucus and Philemon who are rewarded for their devotion by being turned into two intertwining trees (an oak and a linden) outside a temple. While tree-ification seems an odd sort of reward, we very much see the appeal of remaining quietly together for all time, both in life and in our writing. So in putting a name to our joint publishing efforts the name Oak & Linden Press seemed appropriate.
